Whenever children are involved, it’s vital that we consider three important facets of firearms and safety training: Education, Prevention and Action. To cover these three topics, this safety seminar is designed to help adults know more about the why, when and how to address the topics of firearms and safety with kids of all ages. It will also establish foundations for creating positive, welcoming and fun learning experiences for youth, while preventing accidents and promoting the safe, responsible and ethical use of firearms. How the next generation learns about firearms and firearm safety is pivotal to the future of gun ownership in America. It can be an educational, welcoming experience that sparks a lifelong appreciation for firearms and the firearms community. Or it can be tainted by misinformation, fear and toxic bias. Every gun owner has to answer one vital question: Who do you trust to teach your kids and your family about firearms and gun safety? Many Americans have chosen to simply hide knowledge about guns from our youth. But building a keen appreciation and respect for firearms from an early age is key to helping the next generation embrace their Second Amendment rights and build a safety-focused approach to guns. This course will teach you how to make the topic of firearms and safety a positive, welcoming and fun experience for the entire family. You will learn how to introduce your own family to the world of firearms ownership, the gun-safety rules, basic terminology and an understanding of how to properly use firearms.
