Service Description
Severe traumatic injuries can be the result of serious falls, automobile accidents, or shootings or stabbings during an assault or robbery. This mini-class will address the assessment and treatment of numerous traumatic emergencies, including severe bleeding, penetrating chest injuries, flail chest, severe burns, musculoskeletal trauma (injury to the bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons), and trauma to the head and eyes. Severe traumatic injuries result from forces as everyday as a serious fall or automobile accident, to forces as unthinkable as a shooting or stabbing as the result of an assault or robbery. This lesson will address the assessment and treatment for a number of trauma emergencies including severe bleeding, a penetrating chest injury, flail chest, severe burns, musculoskeletal trauma (injury to the bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons) and trauma to the head and eye.
